Lived literally upstairs for a month and the place seemed pretty busy every night. I had seen a review on the 'fooding' site but still thought I could just stop by at noon on a friday and get a table for that night - wrong! completely booked but ended up booking for the following Tuesday (closed on Sunday and Monday). The place is very casual with tables on the sidewalk on both sides of the small street which they take in and out every lunch and dinner. The first time we were there, we tried almost every tapa on the menu (Wakame salad, octopus sashimi, beef tataki, etc..) and then a couple of chirashis to finish along with a nice but inexpensive bottle of regional white.Everything was very good with nice quantities of salmon in the chirashi and sauces on the tapas (e.g., yuzu). With so many restaurants in that part of the city we only got back there a couple of times but I would run into the owners in the street during the day and they would always say hello and ask if we wanted a table for the evening.Mikado is fun and lively, the food was very good and the owners/chef super 'sympa'. Pricing also very good (e.g., last night 70Euro for two including wine, multiple tapas and entrees). Not that they need any good review from me to help them out as they seem to have that all figured out and by the look of their interaction with people walking by on the street they seem to know half of Montpellier, but I figure it doesn't hurt to give them another little thumbs-up. Wishing them continued success.

Super food. Really the food IS something else. Could be noisy for non-french people but really deserve a visit.

This is the best ramen I have eat ever before. The chief is so cute and a mixed race of Japanese and Chinese that why he is so good at preparing ramen for us. Super delicious!

Everything was tasty, and exceptionally so was beef tataki. Better to make a reservation, for the place is not very big.

Fairly small. Had a table outside based on pallets with bistro chairs so not most comfortable. Food was really good and authentic. Had the Ramen. Well worth a meal out.
